It’s fucked up to insist people take a week of time off from work from your wedding. It’s really fucked up to ask them to go solo and/or without their partner.
Asking her to choose, which you would be doing, is not going to end well. It’d be one thing if you could point to something in his behavior (he punched my fiancé, he shat on my parents from step) that would be seen as a more valid reason. But saying “I don’t like your bf so please spend a week of vacation time and travel without him, and since he’s not coming your expenses will be higher, and hope you enjoy my other guests since otherwise you’ll be alone all week because your bf won’t be there.”
I get it, it sucks when your friend is with a shitbag. But you have to pick your battles and not push them toward the shitbag. And this will definitely push her towards feeling like she has to defend shitbag.
