I’m gonna get downvoted to hell, but I’m gonna say it. Something is fishy here. Even wealthy companies generally don’t pay for same city employees to have a hotel room, you are right about that. But for the sake of argument, let’s concede they did. Why are they paying for Ubers too then? They should already have a room, they don’t need a DD. Why aren’t spouses allowed? The overwhelming majority of companies gracious enough to spring for hotels and Ubers welcome spouses with wide arms. There’s something here that doesn’t add up. Her becoming hostile and digging her heels in on setting reasonable boundaries is a red flag too. If I were in your shoes, I’d act like I let it go and hire a PI.
