OP, please read this comment before jumping to conclusions. Everyone is saying run for the hills, but he's 20 and you guys have been dating for a short while. If he was 30 and you guys are married, I'd agree with others, but talk to him before jumping ship altogether. He's young and dumb, he may not have realized how big of a deal it was to you 1. because he may not have seen it as a big deal and his mom put on a big show to manipulate him, and 2. you didn't tell him it was a big deal to you. Just talk to him, let him know you weren't okay with it, and set a boundary in case it happens again. If she pulls this stunt again, you can either not go and let them go or leave altogether. If he makes a big deal out of it and minimizes how you feel, you may be better off packing your bags, too.
