He is a big mama’s boy (in the best way possible, he just love her to death and would do anything to make her happy – she is the only one who, despite her faults, stayed and tried to give him a life) so I do think he’s very scared of breaking the balance of their relationship. I might just be overthinking as well and should just ask him, but don’t want to push him.
