I'm just a big proponent for communication. I don't expect it'll go the way you want it to, but there's a chance, and that's always worth a shot. The fact that she values her image over your relationship (cancelling anniversary plans) is a massive red flag, which is why folks are suggesting you cut and run.
Anger issues turn into abuse issues.
You don’t have to marry him.
He’s told you he’s unwilling to work on this. Believe him.
If you want to maintain the relationship, you could tell him you want to go to couples therapy…make sure you’re doing things the right way this time around.
If he won’t go and you still want to maintain the relationship, I’d suggest therapy for yourself.
You’re young….so many opportunities ahead of you…you know your bf’s issues….you know he’s not willing to work on them….you do not need to end up with the kind of life you’d likely have with him. You deserve someone who is willing to work on things with you.
Honestly you should just ask him. You already have your pact so what have you got to lose. Have a conversation and see where it leads.
