Your boyfriend's full of BS this is not a cultural issue. He has one rule for you and one rule for himself. And you're right you shouldn't be showering every day not with eczema. I have dermatitis/eczema and I shower every other day. My doctors told me years ago not the shower daily. Obviously if I get very hot and sweaty and gross I'll shower on my off day if I need to because I've sweated up a storm and I know I stink. That's the only time I showered daily otherwise it's every other day. If I don't feel like showering and I get a whiff my pits are a little stinky I get out the soap and water and I wash my armpits, wash my face, down below if I need to and that's the extent of it until the next day when I take my full shower.
You also need to be careful with all those scents, they may irritate your skin as well. But I'm with you skipping the shower before you get into bed as long as you know you're relatively clean if you didn't have a strenuous day and you're not smelling, skip the shower if he doesn't like it then I guess he can sleep on top of the sheets but it's not your job or your responsibility to make sure you go into bed smelling beautiful and 100% clean. He must have a thing about having sex when you're fresh as a Daisy from a shower. I'd be curious to know if he ever has sex with you knowing you're a little smelly or does he wait until you get your shower? But this rubs me the wrong way and comes off as very controlling on his part.
