  1. People who are raised like that never have a normal or healthy sex life. They are consumed with it being dirty and a sin. It fucks them up badly. Ask anyone who's been raised like that.

  2. Honestly, it doesn’t make sense to me at all. You feel you’re “already old”? So what? What does that have to do with your choice in life partner? Are you wanting to have kids and that is the reason for the rush? Why can’t you answer all the other questions from my original comment? The context is necessary here. Wanting kids is really the only valid reason for you to be in such a rush to get married.

Honestly though, if you’re wanting to get married just because you “feel old” at 34 (!!), you’re not mature enough to get married in the first place. Marriage isn’t just a social standing, it’s tying your entire life legally to another person- finances, medical decisions, daily life, family planning, retirement, all of it. It’s not something you enter into because you want to keep up with the Joneses, it’s something you do because you want all those legal responsibilities and ties to the person you’re marrying.

As another commenter said, you need a therapist, not a husband.

Signed, a married 33 yr old woman

  3. I'm sorry this happened and you absolutely have every right to be angry!

Did anyone else do the math? Married for 10 years and the new gf is 26?? That would make her 16 when they knew each other before…

  4. Swearing at someone is just as bad as name calling and is complete grounds for a divorce. Just because you don't think it is doesn't mean it isn't for your wife.

To answer your question yes, yelling and swearing = a unhealthy marriage.

  5. Hey, nothing wrong with this.

    Just explore things more:

We have never really used toys

Go shopping together and get something small to start out with. We have a little lipstick shaped vibrator that made a night and day difference.

  6. Ehhh I would let this go. I am an engineer now manager for a well renowned company, respected by my peers and colleagues. They all know I love watching trash shows, read silly books and like to relax on the weekends by being a dead-beat couch potato and no one bats an eye. The best part is my partner. He loves that I am made of all of these elements and doesn’t care and doesn’t judge me.

My advice to you: dump him. If he can’t take the ‘shitty/trashy’ part of you, he doesn’t deserve you.

  7. She told this to our neighbors, not our actual friends. Our actual friends and family know all of this because I've introduced them to him, but I didn't introduce him to our neighbors because I barely talk to my neighbors. A quick wave if anything.

  8. Your job is to just continue to be a good friend and pick her back up when she breaks up with a good guy. It's easier to break up with an asshole, much more difficult to break up with a great guy who just wasn't right.

  9. Non taken, yes. Her kindness and empathy has made her gone oblivious and naive. I'm guessing she's getting taken advantage of cuz of her kindness. I'm also lowkey scared about her safety first and foremost

  10. I mean…she would be an idiot to leave the evidence on top of her trash but her reasoning on the friend is suspicious, can she get her dad to confirm where she was or at least ask the friend to confirm after talking
