The more I think about it, it may be due the fact on how she behaves.
When I've been out with her friend group, it's normally 1 or 2 other girls and around 5-6 guys.
The first time I went our with my GF in a group, it was with her work colleagues (which had a mix of genders, as you expect) – This was the first time I noticed that she acts a little different, it's almost like she's putting a performance on and sorta forgot I was there. It was no biggie, as I made friends with her work colleagues.
When I've been with her main group of friends (which I've met with 4 times), on each occasion my GF gives me vibes like she's a lone wolf in a sense. I remember there was a quiz, and a few of her friends with were in a circle and me & my GF were sat a little away. She sorta implied she's going to sit with the group, and leave me there by myself. It's small things like this. I wouldn't imagine doing it to her.
She had recently lied (although I've not told her I suspect it) that she went on a girls night out with these 2 other girls, but they 'by chance' bumped into this other group of guys and their guy friends.
I agree for NYE it will be good to get out my comfort zone, but I suspect the night will be an eye opener for me.

You're an idiot ? that's not at all what a friend trip is about. You're living in a fantasy land. A close knit friend group will do trips with just them and no SOs. That's just how friends work sometimes. If you're not comfortable with that, fine, but you're definitely wrong about the cheating thing and you need to get that figured out.
