That's great. Honesty and communication are, in my opinion, the two most important things in a relationship. So if you two are communicating about why you were upset, and he has promised full honesty moving forward, then I think that's a great step and you both should feel great. It's if something were to happen again in trust area that would throw up major red flags for me. But it sounds to me like you two are jn a great place!
I'm tempted to say that most guys can only be proper platonic friends with gals they aren't attracted to. I think if they find the girl attractive it really does affect their ability to be just friends. I think.theres always that hope or dream.that something might happen. I'm generalizing of course but from what I've seen with daughters friends, male friends are often just waiting for an opportunity to become more than friends.
