There are exceptions, endless examples of devotion by both sexes … but the reality is that men are less likely to adhere to an ill mate than women are. As I said … there are endless examples of men that are exceptions to the trend. All are deserving of respect and admiration which I have for them. The same respect and admiration is due anyone that cares for the health and well being of another.
She’s never done anything to break my trust, but I constantly sought reassurance from her. She got to a point where she felt her needs/emotions weren’t being listened to and almost felt like she was parenting me as another kid (as embarrassing as that it, I’ve come a long way the last 8 months). She said she felt like all her emotions and energy were on the kids and was finding it hot to also give herself emotionally to me, as I was somewhat relying on her for my happiness.
I appreciate your suggestions so far. She’s stubborn too though. I want to keep encouraging her to go indiv therapy and will use your advice. I want this “wall” to be torn down.
