  1. She’s single, no relationships as of recently. The romanticism didn’t start the second I turned 18 and nor did she push it, it was probably more me initiating it at first

  2. Sometimes, people are just curious. Especially with new things. My first wife was a virgin. She didn't know that what she was doing hurt me in any way. And by my harsh reaction (coming from pain and frustration) she shut down in many ways. It was a destructive response. I learned from it.

Not everyone who does something “wrong” is evil.

Not everything is black and white. Good people make bad choices and decisions. Bad people make good choices. Don't make things worse by assuming the worst right away. You only know one side of the story, and not even that whole side.

  3. This sounds like Stockholm Syndrome. You need to get out and find a different path. Again it won't be easy. But do you want to be a prisoner or live! free.

  4. Umm yeah! Be prepared to be enslaved for couple of decades. And judging from how clueless you are, you are already prepared.

  5. You did emotionally cheat on your ex (when he wasn’t your ex). You could have broken up with him. You chose not to because you still cared about him and tried to take the “easy” route by avoiding a breakup. There is absolutely nothing you can do to fix the hurt to your ex that your avoidance caused. You should definitely apologize. Stop denying it. Accept the responsibility of your actions. Second, if you know that there is no way that you’re going to be getting back into a relationship with your ex, then tell him that. Tell him to stop contacting you. Block him if you have to. This will allow both of you to move on and start to heal. Next, you have to decide what you want to do about these feelings that you have for this friend. If you feel guilty in any way, shape, or form, do not pursue a relationship with him. It wouldn’t be fair to start a relationship with him if you’d feel guilty being with him. If that’s the case, make it clear to him how you feel and why, and stop contact with him as well. If you don’t feel guilty after having a conversation with your ex and coming clean, give this relationship a chance. But learn from this. Do not continue in your life putting other people’s feelings above your own or trying to keep the peace. If you don’t want to be with someone, don’t be with them. You have just found out exactly why you shouldn’t do this… give everyone the best possible closure you possibly can, move on, and learn from this.

  6. You mean exactly what this sub is about? We're supposed to judge a relationship and give advice based off of a little bit of context

  7. I wonder about that too. He smokes occasionally himself, drinks, etc. He says the difference is that its technically not legal for me to smoke because I'm not 21.

  8. holy shit reddit. it's possible she was abused very early and looks at it as a way to process her experience. don't just jump on the 'she's a horrible person' bandwagon. maybe she's not fucked up, just a hurt child, just like we're all hurt children underneath our worldly facades.

this is really about you. you're asking yourself if you can tolerate this level of a person for their love. we can't answer that for you, it seems like you're asking the hivemind for permission, nay exemption from the consequences of your actions. we cannot grant that.

make a decision, deal with her crazy ( they're all crazy ), or split.

  9. She’s not asking for money, but she’s asking for a secure financial future,no matter your relationship status, while letting you support her after 2 months dating. I see.

One,can you prove she doesn’t get child support? Or anything? How did she survive before she met you? Dude.

    Don’t get her pregnant.

  10. Omg thank you so much! I always say, I'm still a young little flower. So you're also still a young little flower (it sounds better in my language tho, lol)

  11. Tbh i dont see a problem here, in the end you just became friends with a person that had a ons with your bf, he didnt cheat or something like that. Sure he couldve told you, but i also dont see a problem with him not telling you as long as it was just an ons and there are no lingering feelings behind.

  12. The Mandalorian rocks! Can’t wait to see it and listen to the music then watch the screen drawings of the show at the end. This is the way.

  13. Yes he is definitely a dismissive avoidant he ticks every box. You’re right I wish I would stop thinking about him it’s driving me mad. This is the first break up I’ve really ‘felt’.

  14. Think of your relationship as if it was the best sandwich in the world but there is a thin layer of dog shit 9n it. You would eat that sandwich no matter how good the other ingredients are, or how good it looks, right?

  15. You seem quite high maintenance if saving $150k isn't much for you. Especially at 30 and the cost of living. You are a big yellow flag, turning in a nice red one.

  16. I mean it happens. It sounds like you respect her father and I doubt that you are replacing him in her mind. I had a step mom whom I called mom, and I called my biological mother mom. Neither were jealous of each other and later in life I learned that my step mom would call my bio mom for advice and vice versa. My mother remarried as well, so I had a step dad as well. I never called him “dad” but he acted like a second dad even after they split up.

The point is, I think you are over thinking it.

  17. Exactly, how is this not blaringly obvious to this guy or her. She just doesn't want to admit she is in the wrong.

  18. There is no solution. This is why women sleeping with multiple men has historically been frowned upon.

It's not a matter of empowerment or personal rights, it's a matter of how YOU want the man YOU settle down with to FEEL about committing his life to you. Do you want him to feel in his heart that your sex/love belongs to him or do you want him to feel like he was the last guy to sit at a table after the party is over?

    Every woman has this choice.
