Humans aren't designed to forgive and forget. We can forgive, and we can forget, but we NEVER do both because forgivable shit is forgettable, but unforgivable shit is NEVER forgettable. Thanks for the input. Our talk this morning didn’t go well, and when I tried explaining my view he said things like “I see how you’re trying to spin this” which doesn’t sound like someone who wants to hear where I’m coming from. It’s the first time this stuff is coming out and it’s been naked for me to process of this is just a normal fight/misunderstanding or if this is a red flag. I tried saying I was engrossed in conversation and that next time I can tell him what to expect. I just feel like something is off, and I don’t know if I’m retreating from old habits or if something is truly not right.
