It's worth noting that beyond potential divorce, if something were to happen to you or you and the kids (God forbid), he may want the option in that case. All that said, these aren't procedures to take lightly. I am more bothered that he refuses to wear condoms. I think getting surgery sucks more than wearing a condom, personally. Have you considered a non-hormonal, copper IUD? It's more effective than the pill and less permanent than surgery.
