You two need to sit down and have a serious conversation. What the heck is wrong with her? She's manipulating you with the ” we can have sex if you give me a baby “. I assume that was a drastic change in her behaviour… Could it possibly be menopause? But she seriously needs to go see a therapist about it. This (much older) guy might be a bit of a slow starter in that regard. But him living alone for a while to have that valuable life experience is important. So don't try to force him to make a choice between dating you and gaining the independence one can only get by living alone for a while. You will truly regret it if he goes straight from roommates to trying to cohabit in a romantic relationship (because he won't be ready). If you're smart you also understand that you've got a few years to go before you'll have the development necessary to contemplate things like marriage and kids. So don't try to rush things here. If you were 35 and worried about your last shot at fertility it might be worth an ultimatum. But you've got the luxury of years to go before you'd have to face that. Give him the time to grow up a little.
