I’m sorry, but it sounds like the relationship has issues well beyond the allergic reactions. If you hadn’t mentioned the allergies at all this post would still be full of red flags.
I know how very hot it can be to date in your late 30s and that you want to hold onto him, but imo you’re giving your time to someone who doesn’t deserve you or respect you. This guy sounds great on paper and you clearly have a list of what makes him “so great” but maybe sit down and make a list of the things you don’t like about him. My guess is the cons will outweigh the pros. Plus what future can you possibly have with someone who thinks they physically can’t be around you?
