He (M43) told me (F35) that I was acting like a teenager because I said no to sex on the second date. Is this the norm now in the dating world?

We (F35) & (M43) went on a date, second time meeting. This man has said he’s looking for a relationship.

We ended up back at his apartment. Well we ate and cuddling watching a movie and he basically tried to have sex with me. I stopped it and he said “what why? You don’t like me? Clearly you’re attracted to me”. I said yes, but I’m looking to take thins slow.

We then had a convo where he said “you’re acting like a teenager and you’re 35”

I then explained to him I prefer to know someone a little before sex and it was only our second time meeting. He pretended to be ok with that but wanted to know how many more times meeting before we find out if we’re “sexually compatible”. Is this the norm in the dating world? I’m worried I’m not putting myself out there enough and that I may lose something great that comes along.
