Uh no, I got full custody of my daughter because her mom is an adulterer and the courts frown, heavily, on that. Staying with a depressed person is not a good reason to stay. You are not breaking up with him because he is depressed, though. You are breaking up because this has happened before, and you see a future of financial stability with him. You can sit down with him and be truthful and remind him that many things are at stake, but if he still does not change, you should at least make plans to on-line somewhere else.

I know you've gotten a lot of comments but I want to weigh in here as someone who is a bit older than you.
Your girlfriend doesn't online with you, so she's a guest in your home. Do you ask all guests to provide money for expenses? Are you just expecting her to pay because she pays no rent? Do you remember being 23 in college at all? Did you work part-time in college and see that money drift away like nothing?
Also, on the flip side, she might be paying no rent at home, but her part-time job might be paying for her school expenses plus maybe phone or other things. You genuinely can't expect a broke student who lives with her father to pay for your expenses like she's living there.
One thing you should definitely do is stop bringing her grocery shopping. The other thing you need to do is consider dating women with jobs from now on. However, before you do that, consider that someone you've been seeing for three months that lives elsewhere even with a job will likely tell you she won't help with your living expenses since she doesn't on-line with you.

Have your wife write letters and record videos for each of your kids for important life events that she will miss and make sure you store them in a fireproof AND data rated storage container. They make inexpensive fire and waterproof safes for documents, but not all are data rated, and that is what you need for videos. Don't rely on just one copy, either. This is too important. The kids will likely forget her voice and what she looks like, which is why the videos are so important.
Make time for yourself and also for you and your wife alone. Have family or friends watch the kids while you two go do something if your wife has the energy or stay home and have a quiet dinner and watch a movie together while you snuggle on the couch.
