I'm so sorry you have to deal with that! As someone who has had a lot of alcoholism and addiction in my family, I know how very hot it can be to see a person you love destroy himself like that. It can be so tempting to stick around and pray for a miracle, but that's not something you can afford right now. You have teenagers now who will see everything you're letting him do – the drinking, the lying, the possible cheating. Even if you explain that their father's sick and that what he's doing is never okay, they're going to internalize his actions, especially at their impressionable age. Would you want your kids to live in a marriage like that? Would you want your kids to BECOME A PERSON like that? No matter how smart they are or how well you think you can shield them from his behaviors, how you handle his drinking is going to affect them for the rest of their lives.
As much as you want to save him and your marriage, it's time to prioritize your kids right now. Take them and get them out of this toxic situation. You say he doesn't want an ultimatum, so don't give one to him. Just leave. He knows why, he knows that he's at fault, and I'm sure he'll realize on his own what he'll be losing by continuing on this path. If he doesn't want to get better, though, you unfortunately can't force him. All you can do is make sure his mistakes don't ruin the lives of you and your kids.
And honestly, I'd try for emergency custody if that's a thing where you live!. Don't trust an alcoholic to watch dependents, even if they're teenagers. Collect whatever evidence you can to show his excessive drinking/reckless behavior and take it to a lawyer. This way, you can ensure that your kids won't be put in an abusive, neglectful, or life threatening situation. I know you say he was never abusive, but you don't know what he'll do when his life starts to crumble around him.

There aren’t any original ideas. Everything’s been done before. So just because YOU saw this joke on TikTok doesn’t mean that he did, you don’t even know for sure if he’s lying, you’re just assuming.
For all we know this could be a legitimate story from his life, its not like it hasn’t happened to 1000 other people before including tiktok comedians.
