  1. Sorry to hear that you have been through such a difficult time. Please get an attorney who can help you get out of the situation. An eviction may be necessary. It may involve you staying somewhere else. Get an attorney!

  6. A relationship where you have to carefully retrace your steps to try and figure out what tiny action of yours caused your partner to blow up is an abusive relationship. I’m sure this isn’t the first time this has happened either. You need to leave.

  7. “The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof.”

  8. I have tried slowing but that’s as of recently. I began by trying to just stop which was not effective. I started taking smaller doses just in the past 2 weeks. I think if I don’t improve in the next month then the doctor will be my next step

  9. You mentioned that you have high standards. Are they really that high, or did your boyfriend make you believe that “no one else would put up with you”. Youve made significant effort regarding weed, and he only sees the mistake. It sounds like he likes putting you down and keeping you low. If he cant be supportive then youre better off without him. Either way i hope you keep working on yourself, not for him but for you!

  10. You need to wish them a happy life

Fuck that, I would wish them to stub their toes superhard everyday and that someone steals their wallets on a weekly basis. Full of cash, if possible.

  11. Info were you 17 when you got together? A 4 year age gap isn't huge but if you were still a kid and he could drink… But also yes, what you described is toxic. Honestly it's a good start to devaluation in a relationship that could turn towards abuse.

  12. You're 20 years old, and have only been “together” for 5 months.

Let it go. They aren't worth your effort.

  13. He lowered unemployment at record lows by the year of 2019. A very high percentage of American's say they are better off financially since he has been president, according to official studies. There is factually more job openings than there are unemployed. And wages have gone up.

African-American unemployment has recently achieved the lowest rate ever recorded. Hispanic-American unemployment is at the lowest rate ever recorded. Asian-American unemployment recently achieved the lowest rate ever recorded. Women’s unemployment recently reached the lowest rate in 65 years. Youth unemployment has recently hit the lowest rate in nearly half a century. Lowest unemployment rate ever recorded for Americans without a high school diploma. Under the Administration, veterans’ unemployment recently reached its lowest rate in nearly 20 years. He has got NATO allies to cough up more money for our collective security. Allies have increased defense spending by $130 billion since 2016. And the White House reports almost twice as many allies are meeting their commitment to spend 2% of gross domestic product on defense today than before Trump arrived.

His tariff threats forced Mexico to crack down on illegal immigration. Mexico is for the first time in recent history enforcing its own immigration laws — sending thousands of National Guard forces to its southern border to stop caravans of Central American migrants. Plus, Congress is poised to approve the U.S.-Mexico-Canada free-trade agreement, which would not have been possible without the threat of tariffs.

He also signed a bill to require airports to provide spaces for breastfeeding Moms.

Trump signed the biggest wilderness protection & conservation bill in a decade and designated 375,000 acres as protected land. Even though everyone freaked out when he dropped us from programs, it wasn't about the programs doing good, it was about how the programs misused their funding. Well there you go. Now we have better implementations. But the news won't tell you that.

Trump signed the Save our Seas Act which funds $10 million per year to clean tons of plastic & garbage from the ocean.

  14. I totally get that aspect of men shouldn't be debate for men and women to have. Cause no matter what, it's beyond delusional

  15. 40 year old female here.

Yes it is valid to be hurt.

No, he does not have a point.

He's bullying you and gaslighting you into believing his voice and opinion are the only one that matters in every situation ever until the end of time. THIS IS A HUGE RED FLAG!

Him saying the hospital can't do anything about his issues is 100% BS. There are doctors who specialize in both his problem areas. The first is called an Ear, NOSE, and Throat Doctor (ENT for short.) I know many people who have one of these in that they see regularly specifically for their sinuses, including several neighbors.

The second is called a Neurologist. They specialize in EVERYTHING related to the brain. This includes headaches. I have an appointment to see mine next week so we can see if my migraine prescriptions need tweaking.

If he is pulling this crap at 5 months into a relationship, YOU NEED TO RUN!

Run fast, run far, and NEVER LOOK BACK.

  16. Hey u/ThrowRA-1268395 just wanted to add this since I didn't see anyone else say it.

Counselling may or may not do anything with regards to saving the relationship. It's not impossible that something has happened, and that a therapy setting will allow it to be expressed, but it is entirely possible that this won't be the case. But either way, the challenging part of being broken up with is often all the doubts you may get about yourself. Couples counseling can be a great setting to get the jump on these, rather than allowing them to grow into unreasonable requirements or expectations for future relationships.

So remember that counselling shouldn't j”ust be for the relationship” – it should be for you as an individual as well 🙂

    Good luck
