Is this really worth being upset over? Did he truly lie to you about it “for years”, or did he say this once early on in the relationship before you two were able to be very open with each other, and the situation never occurred for him to correct it?
I mean, by all means if this is a naked boundary for you then you’re more than able to leave, but is this really so different than someone asking how many partners you’ve been with and you saying it’s not their business? It’s a relatively embarrassing situation for most to admit, and it’s normal to want to not reveal this early on when you’re getting to know someone.
