Do you think she sees differences in what your son can do for his child versus what you could do for him when he was born? If this started about the the time your son started his family but other friends with kids never stirred up those feelings maybe it has more to do with their pregnancy than the baby itself… actually it could even be the fact that she is now a grandma and wants to be just a mother again. Mother is more work but obviously grandma is an older stage than mom. It could be a type of mid life crisis.
