You have to put your foot down and say you need to buy a house you can actually afford or your not buying a house together. The fact he lied about his money is a huge problem for me. 5 years?! I mean how can you marry someone that lies about that. It’s clear he wants to be able to just do what he wants and that doesn’t align with you. This isn’t the guy for you. Lying about money when your planning your future based on that amount is a big deal.
